Rules tighten for derelict vehicles in Hoopeston
HOOPESTON – No tarps allowed: Unlicensed vehicles in Hoopeston will need to be under a hard roof after last Tuesday's city council meeting.
The nuisance ordinance regarding derelict vehicles – it previously allowed tarpaulins to cover them – was repealed by a 6-2 vote from the city council and replaced with a new ordinance that states any vehicle not licensed or not in operation must be kept under a hard roof.
