Panel to discuss raising court costs in Vermilion County
DANVILLE – A Vermilion County committee will be considering whether to increase fines and fees at the Vermilion County Courthouse as another way to generate some needed revenue.
Tonight, the county's judicial and rules committee will discuss research into court fines and fees that was done by the county's civil attorney, Chuck Mockbee. Among other information, he will present data comparing Vermilion County's current rates to those in other counties.
