Ex-Illini, Globetrotter gives $2 million to UI
Former Illini and Harlem Globetrotters basketball player Mannie Jackson and his family have donated $2 million to the University of Illinois to help students achieve success on and off campus.
Jackson will be honored for his contributions to Illini sports and for his gift to the UI during a ceremony in the Assembly Hall before Saturday's men's basketball game.
