Can Champaign's Community Day Care rise again?
More than 50 years ago, in an old house on Bradley Avenue, a group of women from the Junior Service League of Champaign-Urbana created a child care center for low-income working families.
The group answered phones, changed diapers, raised money and built a new building before turning the center over to a community board in 1969.
