Task force on instruction prepares to share its ideas
DANVILLE – In 2004, the Danville school district launched a mentoring program – not for students, but for new teachers.
Recently retired teachers were paired with first-time teachers who were now working in the retirees' old school building. The veterans were on hand to help the first-timers acclimate to the job and offer advice and encouragement throughout the school year.
