Urbana sculpture project moving forward
URBANA – A long-awaited sculpture could finally be installed this year in the Urbana Plaza, a small park just north of the Urbana City Building.
City officials said Monday that internationally renowned artist John David Mooney, a native of Champaign who now works out of Chicago, has committed in writing that he will fabricate the sculpture and have it ready for installation later this year.
