School pulls together to help teacher with cancer-stricken son
CHAMPAIGN – If it weren't for the flu, Phil and Rachel Weber might not have known their son was seriously ill.
Phil Weber, a fifth-grade teacher at Kenwood Elementary School in Champaign, and his wife, Rachel, had the flu in January. Then their infant son David got sick. After nearly a week, he seemed to be getting better, but they took him to the doctor anyway, just to be sure.
