Several area fund drives hit their goal
Several major community fund drives reached their goal over the holidays, with millions donated to help those in need.
The United Way of Champaign County remains $33,000 short of its $3 million goal, but the annual campaign doesn't officially end until the fiscal year concludes June 30, said President Lyn Jones. Some corporate campaigns don't send in checks until March or April, she said.
