State wants median removal in Mahomet done its way
MAHOMET – If the Mahomet Village Board wants to get rid of a triangular-shaped median off U.S. 150 on the east side of town, it must do so on the Illinois Department of Transportation's terms.
The median, called a "hammerhead," prevents left turns into and out of Commercial Drive and has been the cause of complaints from citizens and business owners and problems for snow removal.
