Tuscola hotel/motel tax rate to increase
TUSCOLA – Visitors to Tuscola will soon pay a little bit more for their hotel rooms.
After some debate, the Tuscola City Council voted 7-1 on Monday to increase the hotel/motel tax rate from 5 percent to 6 percent. Some of that money will fund a market study that will look for ways to brand Tuscola better, said tourism Director Barb Kleiss.
