Illinois campuses may seek appropriation for security
SPRINGFIELD – Illinois colleges and universities may ask the state for a special appropriation to pay for campus security upgrades.
The idea emerged Thursday morning at a House higher education appropriation hearing at the Capitol, where last month's shooting at Northern Illinois University was on the minds of legislators and administrators alike.
