Kitchen fire causes $1,000 in damages

URBANA – A kitchen fire caused $1,000 damage to an Urbana apartment late Sunday.

The fire at 808 E. Indiana Ave., U, was reported at 10:46 p.m. Sunday, according to Urbana fire Division Chief Tony Foster. It was reported by cell phone, he said.
