Hoopeston couple's trial moved to July
DANVILLE – The trial of a Hoopeston couple accused of chaining their adult mentally disabled niece to a bed nearly a year ago has been postponed.
A Vermilion County circuit judge granted a defense motion to continue the trial of Ronald H. Schwartz, 67, and Barbara A. Schwartz, 64, which was scheduled to begin today. The trial is now set to begin July 21.
