Urbana's Crystal View gets green light
URBANA – Two years after the Lakeside Terrace public housing complex was razed, state funding has come through for its replacement.
The Illinois Housing Development Authority has awarded $9 million in tax credit funding to help finance the the 72-unit, mixed-income Crystal View Town Homes. Construction of the attached town homes should now begin in September or October, said Richard Sciortino, president of Brinshore Development of Northbrook, the project's developer.
