Ex-Urbana police officer upset by pardon
CHAMPAIGN – Had DeAnn Winn-Maurer known Chandra Gill wanted a governor's pardon, she would have objected.
She would have told the Illinois Prisoner Review Board members, hearing the Chicago activist's request to be pardoned from a 2003 Champaign County felony conviction, that she lives with constant pain.
