Town, plant officials discuss ethanol fires
GIBSON CITY – Both sides of a question about firefighting and ethanol plants in Gibson City are doing their best to find a solution.
Representatives of the Gibson City Fire Protection District, city government and a new ethanol plant met Tuesday to discuss whether there would be an impact on the ability of volunteer firefighters to protect the community and whether additional funds should be made available for their equipment and training.
