Georgetown officials approve hiring new four-legged police officer
GEORGETOWN – City officials voted Monday to hire a new police officer – a 2-year-old male German Shepherd named Boom.
Boom, bought from K-9 Essentials of Charleston for $3,500, will be partnered with Officer Brian Cornett and will assist in narcotics cases, tracking and criminal apprehensions.
