Contractor hired for new Rantoul retention ponds
RANTOUL – Village leaders would love to develop vacant land on the south side of the Rantoul airport runways for industries that require close airport access for shipping and receiving purposes.
But the former Air Force property receives a lot of storm water runoff from the airport and other parts of the community, with some spots flooded with standing water following heavy rains.
