Several arrested after bar violence in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – Champaign police arrested more than a dozen people at The High Dive this weekend when they were called there after fights broke out early Saturday and Sunday.
Police got a call from the bar, 51 E. Main St., C, at about 1 a.m. Saturday saying several people were fighting and beer bottles were being thrown, according to a Champaign police report. Some officers were battered, and they had to use force to stop the fight and make arrests, the report said.
