Assessor: His budget was cut as result of dispute
DANVILLE – The Danville Township assessor claims a $29,000 cut in his annual budget is the result of an ongoing dispute over the tax assessment of manufactured homes in Danville Township, and the decrease would force him to lay off staff.
In a news release Tuesday, Danville Township Assessor Bill Kizer expressed concern over the proposed cut to his budget, which will be considered during the Danville Township Board of Trustees meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday at the township building, 101 W. North St., Danville.
