Man receives 50 years for 2-city crime spree
URBANA – An Urbana man whose desire to kill his girlfriend morphed into a two-city crime spree that included stealing a car and shooting at police and civilians was sentenced Tuesday to 50 years in prison.
Champaign County Judge Heidi Ladd said her most compelling concern in sentencing Torriano Johnson, 33, was the protection of the community.
