Supervisor blasts meetings act lawsuit
DANVILLE – Vermilion County Supervisor of Assessments Don Crist characterizes a recent lawsuit that alleges his office violated the Open Meetings and Freedom of Information acts as frivolous and maintains his office did nothing wrong.
"Frankly, I'm not convinced that we have done anything wrong whatsoever, and if we have, it was inadvertent. Our counsel at the county, our civil attorney, said he thought we were well within the bounds of the law," Crist said.
