Crews plan to raze site of downtown Danville fire
DANVILLE – Crews plan to tear down what's left of a downtown building today after a fire tore through the two-story structure and two businesses housed inside, Danville Book World and Briars and Brambles.
"It's just unfortunate. It really is," said Richard Garrison, owner of Book World, who had moved the business last summer to its new downtown location, 107 N. Vermilion St., from its longtime site on Bowman Avenue. "We wanted a higher profile location."
