Jurors acquit man of charges in armed robbery
URBANA – A Champaign County jury last week acquitted a man of robbery and armed robbery charges in connection with an attack on a man in his home last summer.
Harvey Peter Blakely, 43, who listed an address in the 1600 block of Williamsburg Drive, had been charged with entering a home in the 1200 block of Eureka Street, along with another man, and robbing the owner at gunpoint of coins, a camera, a small safe and jewelry.
