Racial bias alleged in outcome of trial

URBANA – An 18-year-old Rantoul youth faces a maximum of 364 days in the county jail after being convicted Friday of resisting and obstructing a peace officer.

A Champaign County jury deliberated about three hours before convicting Brian Chesley, who lives in the 1400 block of Abram Drive.
