State Police investigating I-74 overpass incidents
MAHOMET – Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate reports of bags of ice being thrown from overpasses on Interstate 74 near Mahomet over the weekend.
Illinois State Police Lt. Roger Hayden said Monday about six "persons of interest" have been questioned, so far, and the investigation continues. Reports will be given to prosecutors in both Piatt and Champaign counties for decisions on possible charges, he said.
