Current, former road chiefs indicted
DANVILLE – A Vermilion County Grand Jury has indicted Newell Township Road Commissioner Pete Powell and former Newell Township Road Commissioner Bruce Andrews on charges of official misconduct.
Vermilion County State's Attorney Frank Young said Friday that a grand jury indicted Powell on several counts of theft of government property, official misconduct and misconduct of officers. Powell was elected road commissioner in April 2005.
