Teacher takes advantage of initiative to earn degree from Chicago
CHICAGO – A computer networking specialist in his former life, John Silva traded corporate America for a career in the classroom.
The former Marine went back to school and earned a teaching degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and now teaches high school history at Chicago's Farragut Career Academy.
