Central group selected to play at Ellington contest, festival
CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign Central High School Jazz Ensemble is one of 15 bands chosen to perform in New York City at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Band Competition and Festival in May.
It's the second time in four years the Central jazz band has been picked for the prestigious jazz festival.
