New neighborhoods in Urbana get counted
URBANA – A special census is now under way in Urbana, counting residents in new neighborhoods in southeast Urbana and along North Lincoln Avenue that weren't around when the last census was conducted in 2000.
Interviews of residents by "enumerators" employed by the U.S. Census Bureau began April 4 and are expected to continue for another two weeks, according to Elizabeth Davis, a city executive assistant.
