Shelter cooperation discussed
TUSCOLA –- Members of the city and the county governments may soon get together to talk about what is best for the county's stray animals. The city council agreed Monday to contact the county board members about meeting to brainstorm about improving the county's animal shelter.
Alderwoman Phyllis Truitt brought up the idea while Dr. Sally Foote, a veterinary adviser for Hands 4 Paws, told the council she would like to see the three groups work together. Hands 4 Paws is a group focused on humane protection for animals in Douglas County.
