State agencies to make case for funding
Supporters of the University of Illinois Extension, soil and water conservation districts and other agencies that haven't received state money appropriated to them will visit the state Capitol on Wednesday to talk about the ramifications of their budget shortfalls.
"This is do or die for our program," said Alan Puzey, board member of Illinois C-FAR, the Council on Food and Agricultural Research. The group funds state university research on ethanol, obesity, hog farms and wind farms, among others.
