Prairie school evacuated due to microwave fire
URBANA – Prairie Elementary School was evacuated for a short time this morning after a microwave caught fire in the teachers' lounge there.
Tony Foster, division chief for the Urbana fire department, said the microwave was faulty. The fire department removed it and cleared the room of smoke.
