Store's fire wall served its purpose
VILLA GROVE – The owner of Villa Grove's only major grocery store credits a fire wall and quick response by volunteer firefighters for saving the building following a fire early Wednesday morning.
Gary Woods was working at his other grocery store in St. Joseph when he received a telephone call telling him that the Villa Grove Foods store at 10 E. Harrison Ave. was on fire.
