Two hospitalized following two-car accident in Arthur
Two Arthur residents were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Arthur on Monday morning.
According to an Illinois State Police report, Howard J. Helmuth, 39, who listed an address in Arthur, was driving a motorcycle west on Illinois 133 at a high rate of speed and continued to accelerate when he struck a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Brenda Coleman, 66, of Arthur. Coleman was driving south on Palmer Street and was attempting to make a left turn onto Illinois 133 when she was struck by the motorcycle.
