Vermilion County committee considers hiring of custodians
DANVILLE – The county's property committee supported a proposal on Monday night to create five new custodial positions to clean the Vermilion County Courthouse and Annex rather than continuing to contract with an outside business.
"We've tried several things, all to no avail. I haven't heard any other viable options. We're at the point now where this needs to be done," said Mark Cravens, buildings and grounds superintendent for Vermilion County, during Monday night's property committee meeting.
