Republican candidate facing legal challenge
URBANA – A University of Illinois student running for state representative in District 103 faces a legal challenge.
Frank Calabrese is running as a Republican against incumbent state Rep. Naomi Jakobsson. On Tuesday, a lawyer for Champaign firefighter Pat Devaney challenged Calabrese's nomination before the county board of elections at the courthouse.
