Area police investigating restaurant, taxi robberies
One man was arrested for trying to steal money from a restaurant, and police are investigating a robbery of a taxi driver in Champaign.
Gary Fonville, 35, who listed an address in the 3000 block of West Daniel Street, Champaign, was arraigned Wednesday on a Class 2 felony charge of burglary. His bond was set at $2,000. He is due to return to court July 8.
