Burned Danville buildings inspected
DANVILLE – A month after fire tore through a downtown building, local officials and the building's owner await an engineer's evaluation on whether part of the structure can be saved.
Rachael Dietkus, director of Downtown Danville Inc., said the organization would like the building at 105-109 N. Vermilion St. rebuilt and thriving again with retail businesses as it was prior to the March 26 blaze that wiped out two businesses – Danville Book World and Briars and Brambles.
