Man faces vehicular hijacking charges
URBANA – A St. Louis man is accused of hijacking a car in Champaign in December.
Vernon Jones, 34, was arraigned Thursday on Class X felony charges of aggravated vehicular hijacking and armed robbery. Both charges accuse him of stealing a Champaign man's car at gunpoint on Dec. 8, 2007.
