Weekend gun theft prompts extra security at schools
ST. JOSEPH – Schools in St. Joseph were being locked down and monitored again today following the theft of a gun over the weekend.
Champaign County Sheriff Dan Walsh said extra security precautions were taken at St. Joseph-Ogden High School, St. Joseph Middle School and the grade schools on Monday due to a gun being reported stolen on East Lincoln Street in St. Joseph over the weekend.
