Area firefighters learn to handle rail emergencies
VILLA GROVE – Chuck Black listened intently as an instructor showed him how to open a valve at the top of a chemical-filled railroad car.
"I'm learning a lot about how to stop leaks and how to be aware of my surroundings," he said. "It's important to know the right steps to take in case of a railroad emergency."
