Panel votes to support creating 5 custodial posts
DANVILLE – A second Vermilion County committee unanimously supported creating an in-house custodial crew to clean the Vermilion County Courthouse and Annex. The proposal now moves to the full county board next week.
On Monday, the finance committee approved, by a 7-0 vote, creating five new custodial positions in the county's buildings and grounds department at a cost of $98,000 for the rest of this fiscal year, which ends Nov. 30. The annual cost in subsequent years would be at least $100,000.
