Area Marines return from duty in Iraq
PEORIA – Area Marine reservists who defused roadside bombs in Iraq returned to Peoria today.
The 33 Marines, several of whom are from East Central Illinois, returned after a seven-month deployment to Iraq; five of them are from the Champaign area, said Capt. Justin Miller.
