Hands 4 Paws seeks facility, volunteer rules
TUSCOLA – A Douglas County group dedicated to animals is still moving forward in hopes of uniting the city and county governments to improve the county animal shelter.
Hands 4 Paws is hoping to find a way to use the city's former recycling center as a place to house the overflow of animals and maybe even create an adoption center, said Tuscola veterinarian Dr. Sally Foote, who sits on the Hands 4 Paws board. The county runs the shelter.
