DANVILLE – The sound of taps didn't make it any easier for Jean Deckard.
The widow of slain Vermilion County Sheriff's Deputy Myron Deckard sat in a metal folding chair facing the Public Safety Memorial at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday as part of National Police Memorial Week.
