Champaign to address the costs of cleanliness
CHAMPAIGN – A tour of downtown Champaign on a recent weekday morning showed, to a moderate degree, what can happen when an area becomes a night hot spot.
Dozens of cigarettes butts littered the sidewalk and street in front of the Blind Pig tavern. Other places were generally cleaner, though cigarette butts poked out of sidewalk tree grates and littered the curb.
