Recording on PBL buses to include audio, video
PAXTON – Students, athletes and fans riding on Paxton-Buckley-Loda school district buses next year will find they are being videotaped and their conversations are being recorded. The Paxton-Buckley-Loda School Board voted 6-1 on Wednesday to approve the new policy, with Jeff Jarboe voting against the change.
Jarboe voiced concern that the audio recording could open up the district to lawsuits at some point in the future. Superintendent Cliff McClure didn't support that view. He noted that this policy has passed through many legal hands before it was brought to the board for approval.
