Monticello council adopts rules on displaying house numbers
MONTICELLO – In a move aimed more at emergency services than for the directionally-challenged, the Monticello City Council approved a rule requiring house numbers be prominently displayed.
The council approved the change 5-1 this week requiring all residential areas to display house numbers at least 3 inches tall, 5 feet above the ground, near the entrance or garage door facing the street.
