Stormy start for Tuscola at state
JOLIET – The Tuscola pitchers couldn't cool the Marissa bats, but maybe the rain can at the Class 1A state baseball finals.
The Meteors jumped to a 6-1 lead after three innings this morning before IHSA officials ordered the tarp on the diamond at Silver Cross Field with severe thunderstorms expected to hit the Joliet area.
